We only collect and store what's needed to run the service, specifically:

• Your account details (name and email address) when you sign up or sign in.
• Profile and contact details you provide: phone number, location, and links such as LinkedIn, GitHub, or a personal website.
• Career information you provide: résumés, cover letters, work experience, education, skills, and job applications (including answers submitted on application forms).
• Your conversations with hirelayer, including voice audio when you use voice mode. Your microphone is only accessed during an active voice conversation.
• Emails received in your hirelayer inbox, including senders, subjects, message content, and attachments.
• Usage data and analytics to improve the service.

We don't collect or store anything beyond the above, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain your career operator experience.
• Generate AI-powered resumes, cover letters, and application assistance.
• Find and recommend jobs, and apply on your behalf when you ask.
• Power hirelayer's chat and voice conversations, and deliver and organize your inbox.
• Process purchases and manage your subscription.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

• Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
• We store your data on secure cloud infrastructure with strict, access-controlled handling.
• Access tokens and credentials are stored securely on your device and our servers.

We rely on trusted providers to deliver core features:

• Clerk: for secure authentication.
• Microsoft Azure & OpenAI: for AI chat, voice, and document generation.
• Apple & Stripe: for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions.

• You can edit or delete your applications, resumes, cover letters, and conversations at any time.
• You can request full account deletion, which removes your associated data.

To delete your account and data, use the Delete Account option in settings, or email us at support@hirelayer.ai.
